Rich Culture

A carnival celebration happens every year at Tourist’s Stroll Avenue along the beach of the Virgin of the Sea boat parade. Residents sell a delicious ice-cream called “Apretado” from the front of their homes to the people walking the parade. They also have a common served dish named “Corvina” normally served with fish, shrimp, and lobster. Retirees love the fresh fruits and healthier foods they can find in every corner.

Businesses are focused in the booming ecotourism in Puntarenas. Entrepreneurs now plan on an increase of 13 percent in employment for 2014.
